Our History
Founded in 1978 , Valsi started as a Cast iron foundry in Guadalajara, Mexico. Initially focused on 4 water pumping models, Valsi established the Evans brand in 1980. The business growth was such that in 1981 the company acquired a competitor in water pumping increasing the portafolio to twelve products. The company started a supply relationship with Tecumseh Engines in 1982. Valsi was the biggest customer for Tecumseh outside of the US. Encouraged by Tecumseh, Valsi started to expand into other power equipment segments, such as Lawn & Garden in 1989, followed by air compressors in 1990 and portable generators in 1991. Throughout its history, Evans has been innovating to exceed our customer’s expectations.
Evans has three establish key drivers: First, Only manufacture top-of-the-line products at better price points. The second driver is to Think outside the box to come up with products/solutions that solve specific customer needs. And finally, our third driver is to Pursue sustainability by reducing fuel consumption and increasing our products lifetime.
